Bev Nichols is a Tax Director and serves as the firm’s Director of Employee Benefits Services. She joined the Firm in 1972 following attendance at the University of Southwestern Louisiana, and employment with a Lafayette CPA firm.
Admitted to membership in 1981, she has extensive experience with the accounting and income tax issues of individuals, partnerships and professional corporations. She has developed a substantial practice and reputation in the area of deferred compensation and employee benefit plans. Money Magazine has selected Bev as one of the outstanding tax advisors in the country.
Bev is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Society of Louisiana CPAs. She is a past President of the Association of Employee Benefit Planners of New Orleans and New Orleans Estate Planning Council. Bev has chaired committees of the Society of Louisiana CPAs, the Louisiana Tax Conference and is a member of the Tulane Tax Institute. She serves on the boards of the United Way, Women’s Leadership Council, Junior Achievement, Red Cross, Priestley School of Architecture and Con- struction and the Institute of Mental Hygiene and was named one of the 2005 Women of the Year by CityBusiness. She was also awarded the Society of Louisiana CPAs’ 2008 Distinguished Public Service Award, the highest honor for public service, leadership, impact, involvement and innovation by a Louisiana CPA.
